Sol Studios 2017

In my third year with ESKFF's Sol Studios, this year the high school students in the program was an all female group. Months after the Women's March, our conversations circulated around feminist history and recent events leading to our assembly. We discussed intersectional feminism as female group also come from marginalized socio-economic backgrounds. The symbols, words, and colors we produced reflected our discussion. Brooklyn Museum's exhibition We Wanted A Revolution: Black Radical Women became a reference as protests that developed the ground work for intersectionality.
